Description

Spend 10 months in Sofia as part of the FSCOD team, helping create opportunities for displaced Ukrainian people while building valuable professional skills. This volunteering placement combines communication, creativity, and project development. Depending on your interests and strengths, you will help create photo and video content, manage TikTok and other social media channels, update our website, design communication materials, support dissemination activities, and document events and success stories.

You will also gain hands-on experience in project writing by contributing to Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, and other international funding proposals, while supporting the day-to-day work of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for young people interested in communications, digital media, photography, videography, project management, or international cooperation. Throughout the activity, you will receive mentoring, develop practical skills, and work in an international environment where your ideas and creativity are encouraged.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will live in a shared, fully furnished apartment in central Sofia. Each participant will have a private bedroom and share the kitchen, living room, and bathroom with the other volunteers. A monthly food allowance, pocket money, and a public transport card for travel within Sofia are provided. The accommodation is close to the volunteering venue and within walking distance of shops, parks, cafรฉs, and cultural attractions.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive continuous training and mentoring throughout the project. Learning topics include project writing, digital communication, social media management, photography and videography, storytelling, media literacy, fundraising, entrepreneurship, career development, and green practices. Participants will also attend the mandatory ESC On-Arrival and Mid-Term Trainings, take part in regular reflection sessions, and receive support in documenting their learning through Youthpass.

Participant profile

We are looking for three motivated young people from Ukraine who are eager to learn and develop new skills. This opportunity is ideal for participants interested in communication, photography, videography, social media, digital content creation, or project development. You should be curious, responsible, and comfortable working in a team. Experience with TikTok, Instagram, Canva, photography, video editing, or website management is an advantage, but not required. We value creativity, initiative, and a willingness to contribute ideas while working in an international and supportive environment.
