Some of these you could apply for in the next ten minutes and be packing by next month. Right now there are 16 fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements open across 8 countries, and the range is unusually wide: community workshops on Martinique, a Caribbean island that is also part of Europe, humanitarian project management supporting the Gaza response with an NGO in Jordan, building a youth vocational centre and garden alongside local builders in rural Uganda, bringing a children's library space to life in Lithuania, caring for children with disabilities at a Lithuanian centre with music and dog therapy, and disaster preparedness and rescue training with a volunteer team in Tรผrkiye. From Vilnius to Kampala, from Brussels to a mountain ecomuseum in Italy, this is one of the most varied sets of placements we have gathered in a single post.

Every one of them is a European Solidarity Corps placement, which means the funding is real: travel within the usual distance bands, accommodation, food, local transport, insurance, pocket money, a mentor and language support are covered, for volunteers aged 18 to 30. One Italian placement is the exception and is flagged below. Eight of the sixteen are marked "as soon as possible," so they can close the moment enough good applications arrive, and the rest run through late July.
