The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) invites eligible undergraduate students to apply for the OTS Internship Programme, a chance to gain practical experience alongside a multinational team.

About the Programme

The OTS Internship Programme offers university students an opportunity to gain practical experience and enhance their understanding of regional cooperation within the framework of the OTS. Through their participation, interns become familiar with the Secretariat's activities and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives implemented in cooperation with the OTS Member States and Observers. The programme aims to provide students with an opportunity to complement their academic knowledge through practical work experience at the OTS Secretariat, to familiarize participants with the objectives, activities and institutional functioning of the Organization of Turkic States, and to benefit from the contributions of highly qualified students with relevant academic backgrounds.

What You'll Do

๐Ÿค Work alongside the Secretariat's multinational team and contribute to projects and initiatives that promote cooperation among the Turkic States.

Who Can Apply

๐ŸŒ Be a citizen of an OTS Member State (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tรผrkiye or Uzbekistan).

๐ŸŽ“ Be currently enrolled in the third or final year of a Bachelor's degree programme in International Relations, International Law, Political Science, Economics or Media and Communication.

๐ŸŽ‚ Be no older than 26 years of age at the time of application.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Demonstrate an excellent command of English. Knowledge of one or more official languages of the OTS Member States is considered an asset.

The Details

๐Ÿ“ Location: OTS Secretariat, Tรผrkiye.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Duration: three weeks. Interns work full-time, from 09:00 to 18:00, five working days per week.

Financial Support

๐Ÿ’ถ The OTS Secretariat provides a weekly stipend of USD 150 to interns.

โœˆ๏ธ All expenses related to travel, accommodation, insurance, visas (where applicable) and other personal costs are covered by the interns or their sponsoring institutions, and selected interns are responsible for arranging and financing their own travel to and from the OTS Secretariat.

๐Ÿ”’ Interns are required to maintain the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality throughout the internship. Any unpublished information or documents obtained during the internship are treated as confidential and may not be disclosed or used for publication without the prior written authorization of the OTS Secretariat.

Selection Process

๐ŸŽฏ Following the initial evaluation of applications, shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview, and successful applicants are informed of the outcome by email or telephone.
