Twenty-six fully funded ESC placements across 15 countries in a single batch — and the reach here runs from the Caribbean to the Arctic. Co-writing a book of stories with prison inmates in Sint Maarten, a 15,000-tree agroforestry farm in Italy, science-through-fun at a Polish science centre, forest-trail maintenance in the Icelandic town of Stykkishólmur, Transcendental Meditation on a 200-person campus in a Dutch national park, peacebuilding at the Home for Cooperation in Cyprus, natural building of a mountain village school in Greece, and memory care for older people in Czechia — these are not opportunities you'll see grouped together again.
Italy and Poland each lead with four placements — Italy spanning two agroforestry farms, a three-field social-farming role and a Sicilian communication post, and Poland covering a science centre, a kindergarten, a media role and a cross-generational university placement. France follows with three roles in European values, sustainability and language education. The tightest deadlines are the seven "as soon as possible" placements at the top — the Greek eco-community, both Italian farms, the Türkiye youth role, the Polish science centre, kindergarten and media posts — followed by the Sint Maarten prison project and the German kindergarten on 11 July. From there the calendar opens right up, through the Cyprus and Netherlands roles on 31 July and a cluster on 15 August, all the way to the Sicilian and French agricultural-school placements closing on 1 September.
