Udruga Amazonas is a Zagreb-based organisation dedicated to supporting positive change through learning, movement, innovative methods, and new experiences. For this sixth edition of their Building an Inclusive Society project, they are opening three distinct volunteer positions โ each with its own focus, responsibilities, and ideal profile.
What Is This Role About?
Amazonas works across social inclusion, non-formal education, and community engagement. This project gives volunteers the space to genuinely contribute โ whether that is through content creation, workshop facilitation, or hands-on work with children. Each position comes with real responsibility and room to grow.
The Three Positions
๐ฌ Position 1: Media Volunteer
This role is for someone who is comfortable behind a camera and confident creating content for social media.
๐ฑ Managing the TikTok channel of Amazonas โ two posts per week
๐ธ Taking photos and creating videos of Amazonas activities and events
๐จ Bringing creativity and a dynamic working style to content production
๐ซ Position 2: Leader of Non-Formal Activities
This role is for someone who enjoys facilitating learning and connecting people.
๐ฃ๏ธ Teaching native language lessons and facilitating conversational English
๐ฏ Organising and running workshops
๐ฃ Promoting mobility opportunities at events across Zagreb
โ๏ธ Writing reports and blog articles about the project and activities
๐คธ Position 3: Assistant on Social Projects
This role is for someone who loves working with children and is drawn to movement-based approaches.
๐ฅ Participating in capoeira training and supporting capoeira workshops for children
๐ Preparing and implementing workshops for children on embracing diversity
๐ง Working directly with children in a creative and inclusive environment
Who Should Apply?
For Position 1 โ Media Volunteer:

Training & Support
Volunteers on this placement receive structured support throughout.
๐ฆ Pre-departure training organised by the supporting organisation
๐ On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Training organised by the National Agency in Croatia
๐ Position-specific training organised by Amazonas depending on the volunteer’s role

Accommodation, Food & Transport
The practical setup is generous and well-organised.
๐ Volunteers live in a shared apartment with other volunteers โ maximum 4 people in total
๐๏ธ Shared bedrooms with a maximum of 2 volunteers per room, plus a living/dining room, kitchen, and bathroom
๐ถ 500 EUR per month for pocket money and food
๐งพ Accommodation and living expenses (including bills) covered by the project
โ๏ธ Travel costs (flights or buses) depend on the volunteer’s country of origin
๐ Public transportation tickets provided for local commuting in Zagreb
