🇮🇹 Internship in Italy 👶 Nursery and Early Education Intern at TTT — Bilingual Preschool Experience 🎨

A traditional nursery. A bilingual, American-inspired preschool. And a role that puts you inside both — supporting children’s daily routines, bilingual learning sessions, creative workshops, and early literacy activities. TTT (Tierra Techo Trabajo) is offering an Erasmus+ internship placement for students passionate about early childhood education and bilingual learning in Italy.

🏫 About the Placement

The internship takes place at two different locations — a traditional nursery/preschool and a bilingual, American-inspired nursery/preschool. Interns work alongside professional educators, supporting children in a structured, warm, and stimulating environment.

📋 Your Responsibilities

🗓️ Daily Classroom Routine

👋 Assist teachers during children’s arrival and reception

🔄 Support transitions throughout the day — playtime, meals, hygiene, rest time

🍽️ Help supervise lunch and snack breaks

🧼 Assist with basic hygiene tasks under staff guidance

🎓 Didactic Activities

📚 Support teachers during early literacy, numeracy, and themed lessons

🎨 Contribute to creative sessions — drawing, painting, crafts, and sensory play

🎵 Assist during music, dance, and singing lessons

🛠️ Workshop Support

🍳 Participate in afternoon workshops twice a week — e.g., “cooking in English” and creative labs

📦 Help prepare materials and support children during hands-on activities

👥 Assist in managing small groups during workshop rotations

🇺🇸 English-Language Immersion

🗣️ Reinforce English exposure using simple vocabulary during routine tasks

💬 Encourage children to use English naturally during play and guided activities

🤝 Collaborate with the native English-speaking teacher during bilingual sessions

🧑‍🏫 Collaboration and Observation

👀 Observe and learn age-appropriate educational strategies from professionals

📋 Follow guidance from supervising teachers for behaviour management and routines

❤️ Encourage positive social interactions and support children who need extra guidance

✅ Your Profile

🎓 Studies in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, or related fields

🗣️ Good English communication skills — around C1

🤝 Comfortable working with multiple age groups in both nursery and early childhood settings

📅 Willing to participate in afternoon workshops once or twice a week

🌍 Open to learning different pedagogical approaches and supporting bilingual learning

📅 Duration and Commitment

⏱️ Full-time, 4 months

🗓️ 1 September 2026 — 31 January 2027
