Non-formal education in action. Digital skills workshops. Community events in one of Romania’s most beautiful cities. And a team of international volunteers living and working together in Brașov. Asociatia Copiii în Sânul Familiei is looking for ESC volunteers to join the KEN project — a placement built around learning by doing, creating, and genuinely connecting with the young people and communities around you.

🎯 About the Project

KEN (Keep Non-Formal Activities in the Community) is an ESC volunteering project focused on designing and facilitating non-formal education activities for young people in Brașov and nearby areas. The work covers digital skills, sustainability, inclusion, and personal growth — delivered through interactive workshops, creative events, school activities, and community actions.

📋 What You’ll Do

🎨 Design and facilitate engaging non-formal education activities for young people — workshops, creative events, school activities, and community challenges

💻 Focus on digital skills, sustainability, inclusion, and personal growth as core themes

📱 Create social media content and share project stories to inspire others

🏘️ Participate in community actions in Brașov and nearby areas

🤝 Work as part of an international volunteer team

💡 Bring your own ideas and energy to the project

🎁 What the Project Provides

🏠 Shared apartment in Brașov with the other volunteers — fully equipped with kitchen and two bathrooms

💶 €270 per month covering food and pocket money

✈️ Support in choosing the easiest route to Brașov once travel plans are confirmed — green travel encouraged and supported

🧑‍🏫 Mentoring and support throughout the placement

🌍 An intercultural experience exploring local communities and sustainable ways of living

👤 Who Should Apply

KEN is looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 currently residing in an EU country who are:

🤝 Open to meeting new people and actively engaging in local communities

💡 Willing to use their talents and energy to support educational and social activities

📚 Eager to learn new skills and gain experience in non-formal education

🗣️ Have at least a beginner level of English

✅ No previous experience required — motivation, openness, and willingness to learn are what matter most
