When people look into ESC volunteering in social work or projects with vulnerable youth, they often expect structured roles with clear boundaries. In reality, projects like this are built around everyday life. You don’t only “run activities” — you share meals, conversations, routines, and responsibilities. That’s where the real impact happens. Over time, you learn how to communicate in complex situations, how to build trust, and how to respond to different behaviors. These are not skills you pick up from theory. They come directly from being present in environments like this.

👤 Participant Profile

🎯 Age: 23–30
🧠 Background in social work or psychology preferred
👶 Comfortable working with at-risk youth (13–18)
🤝 Patient, communicative, and responsible
💡 Proactive and able to organize activities
🏡 Willing to live in a small town environment
🇮🇹 Open to learning Italian or already has basic knowledge
⚠️ Must commit to the full project duration
