๐ Introduction
Some ESC projects are about trying something new. This one is about stepping into responsibility from day one.
In East Belgium, youโll be working directly with children and young people who need support the most โ whether due to disabilities or migration backgrounds. Itโs not a background role. Youโre part of their daily routine, their learning environment, and in many cases, their sense of stability.
And unlike many other projects, thereโs a clear expectation here: communication matters. Your ability to connect, understand, and adapt will define your experience.

When people search for ESC volunteering with children or opportunities in inclusive education, projects like this are often what they are actually looking for โ even if they donโt realize it at first. You are not assisting from a distance. You are embedded in structured educational systems, working directly with children who require patience, consistency, and clear communication. This kind of experience builds real competencies in education, social work, and inclusion. For many volunteers, it becomes a turning point โ not because of where it is, but because of what they learn to handle.
