When twenty ESC volunteering placements and Erasmus+ opportunities share the same deadline, the only question worth asking is which one is right for you — because time to decide has already run out. These listings have been circulating since earlier this month. Today, 10 April 2026, is the final day to submit an application for almost every opportunity on this list.
The range here is genuinely unusual. Off-grid island life in Greece sits alongside LGBTQIA+ activism in Latvia, disability support in Naples, forest conservation in Portugal, and a social media internship in China. The European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programme make all of these free opportunities in Europe — and in some cases beyond Europe — accessible to young people aged 18–30 regardless of financial background. Flight, accommodation, food, and monthly pocket money are covered in full for ESC placements.
For youth workers, the training courses in Bulgaria and Germany represent a direct investment in professional capacity — tools for addressing radicalisation, environmental project design, and sustainability education that translate immediately into practice.
