📝 Project Overview
Join us at Ankkapurha Youth Centre, nestled in the serene beauty of Finnish nature! This exciting opportunity is designed for 2 volunteers to contribute to the daily work of the youth centre:
- Collaborate with youth workers to plan, organize, and lead youth groups.
- Assist in camp schools and other youth/children camps.
- Bring your creativity to design new programs and activities, sharing your culture while learning about Finnish traditions.
- Support other departments, including kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance, when needed.
You’ll also participate in organizing a spring event for children and youth alongside the ESC team. You’ll always have guidance and support while working.
🛋 Accommodation, Food, and Transportation
🏠 Stay in a cozy apartment at Ankkapurha Youth Centre:
- Shared apartment with a living room, double bed, an upstairs bedroom with two single beds, bathroom, and kitchen.
- Enjoy free time with access to bicycles, a sauna, a Lappish hut, game room, and game arena.
🍴 Lunch is provided at the youth centre’s restaurant on working days.
🚴♂️ Most work is at the youth centre, and any required travel will be arranged by the staff.
📚 Training Provided
You’ll receive arrival training to help you settle in and prepare for your role.
👥 Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers with fewer opportunities who:
- Are eager to learn and work as part of a team.
- Have some experience (preferred but not required) working with children or youth.
- Can provide a clear criminal record extract for working with children.
