A youth centre in Kielce, Poland is seeking 8 creative volunteers through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) to leave a lasting artistic mark on the community. Over 40 days, you will design and paint an original mural, revitalise a children’s playground, lead workshops, and co-organise a Multicultural Children’s Day Festival โ€” all while supporting the daily life of a vibrant youth centre. No prior experience is required โ€” just creativity, openness, and a full commitment to the project duration.

๐ŸŒ Did You Know? Kielce is one of Poland’s oldest cities, with roots stretching back over a thousand years, and sits at the heart of the ลšwiฤ™tokrzyskie region โ€” home to some of the oldest mountain ranges in Europe. Despite being less internationally known than Warsaw or Krakรณw, it has a thriving local culture, a large student population, and a growing reputation as a hub for youth work and community initiatives.

What Will You Do?

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Mural Design & Painting: Design and paint an original mural on the Oratorium building wall or fence โ€” a permanent artistic legacy for the children and community of Kielce.
๐Ÿ› Playground Revitalisation: Transform and renovate the outdoor playground into a colourful, safe, and inspiring space for the children who use the centre daily.
๐ŸŽช Multicultural Children’s Day Festival: Co-organise and run the grand finale festival โ€” officially unveiling the mural and playground while hosting cultural stalls showcasing your home country’s traditions and cuisine.
๐ŸŽญ Workshops & Animation: Lead daily workshops based on your own talents โ€” sports, music, arts, games โ€” for the children at the youth centre (working hours: 1โ€“7 pm).
๐Ÿค Daily Youth Support: Be present in the daily life of the centre, providing support, encouragement, and minor educational assistance to the children throughout the project.
๐ŸŒ Did You Know? Mural art has become one of the most powerful tools for urban regeneration across Europe. Studies on community art projects show that public murals created with youth involvement significantly improve children’s sense of belonging, local pride, and emotional well-being โ€” making projects like this one far more than just a creative exercise.

Who Can Apply?
