🌍 ESC Individual Volunteering Opportunity in Austria

Sunnahof is a biodynamic farm and social organisation located in Götzis, Vorarlberg, Austria. The project combines social inclusion with practical work in agriculture, carpentry, plant cultivation and gastronomy. The core philosophy of Sunnahof is “people need people”, promoting cooperation and inclusion between individuals with and without disabilities.

Volunteers will gain valuable experience working alongside people with intellectual disabilities while participating in meaningful daily activities within the farm and social enterprise environment. The project focuses on supporting independence, skill development and community integration.

✨ Volunteer Activities

🌱 Plant Nursery: working with plants and supporting nursery activities
🐄 Agriculture: caring for animals and supporting work in stables
🪵 Carpentry: learning woodworking techniques and assisting in the workshop
🍞 Gastronomy: supporting activities in the farm shop and gastronomy area
🤝 Working together with people with intellectual disabilities in daily activities

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Local Transport

🏡 Volunteers will live in a house next to the organisation with other volunteers
🛏 Private room for each volunteer
🚿 Shared bathrooms, kitchen and living space
🍽 Lunch provided during weekdays
🛒 Food allowance for breakfast, dinner and weekend meals
🚲 Bicycle available for local mobility
🚆 Free public transport ticket for the entire Vorarlberg region

🎓 Training and Learning

📚 On-arrival training organised by the Austrian National Agency
🤝 Mid-term meeting organised by the National Agency
🇩🇪 German language course provided during the project
🧠 Regular evaluation meetings with the coordinating organisation
