The healthcare system in the Sahrawi refugee camps is managed entirely by the refugees themselves โ and it depends on humanitarian partners to survive. This ESC placement puts you inside that system, working with one of the most respected humanitarian medical organisations in the world, in one of the most complex and underreported humanitarian contexts on the planet.
Mรฉdicos del Mundo is looking for a volunteer to support and monitor health projects in the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria. This is a specialist role for someone with a healthcare or public health background โ and the motivation to work in a demanding, remote, and genuinely impactful humanitarian environment.
What Is This Role About?

Mรฉdicos del Mundo provides technical and financial support to maintain health services, supply medicines and medical equipment, and ensure programmes meet national and international standards.
