In late 2024, the DANA storm devastated communities across the Valencia region and La Marina area of Spain. The recovery is ongoing โ and it needs people who are genuinely committed to showing up and doing the work. This ESC team volunteering project is built around exactly that.
De Amicitia is coordinating DANA HH 05 โ a group ESC volunteering project that supports associations, schools, municipalities, and community stakeholders in the areas affected by the 2024 DANA disaster. The work is varied, hands-on, and directly connected to the social and physical reconstruction of communities that are still rebuilding.
What Is This Role About?
This project operates across multiple areas of community recovery โ from agricultural work and physical reconstruction to educational activities with children and visits to senior centres. Volunteers contribute 6 to 7 working hours per day across a wide range of activities, with 2 days per week free. Flexibility and a genuine commitment to volunteering are not optional here โ they are the baseline.
