๐ Opportunity Overview
This United Nations Internship is offered by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and hosted by the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) in Copenhagen, Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ.
CTCN is the implementation arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, supporting developing countries in accelerating climate technology development and transfer in line with the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The internship focuses on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), data tracking, analysis, and knowledge management across CTCNโs three core service areas: Technical Assistance, Capacity Building, and Knowledge Sharing.
This is a full-time, in-person internship with a duration of 6 months.
๐งญ Main Duties & Responsibilities
๐ Track progress and monitor impact indicators using CTCN M&E frameworks
๐ Analyse programme data and activities using M&E tools and data collection systems
๐ฅ๏ธ Work with databases including the CTCN website and internal platforms
๐ Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to M&E and data collection systems

Support quality assurance of M&E deliverables (closure reports, stakeholder feedback, timelines)
๐ Maintain a repository of programme documents, tools, and knowledge products
๐ค Collaborate with teams across technical assistance, capacity building, and knowledge sharing
๐งฉ Perform additional ad hoc tasks as required
๐ Qualifications & Profile
โ๏ธ University degree completed or in progress (final year Bachelorโs, Masterโs, or PhD)
โ๏ธ Relevant fields include:
Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, International Development, or related areas
โ๏ธ Studies or knowledge related to monitoring & evaluation is a strong asset
โ๏ธ No professional work experience required
โ๏ธ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
โ๏ธ Advanced skills in Excel and databases (including SharePoint)

๐ฃ๏ธ Fluency in English is required
