Demos Helsinki, an independent non-profit think tank, is offering a paid 4-month internship in Helsinki, Finland, starting between January and May 2026. This opportunity is for passionate individuals who want to work on societal transformations, contribute to real-world projects, and be part of a diverse international community.
As an intern, you’ll join a collaborative team of professionals working on pressing global challenges — from sustainability and innovation to inclusive governance. You’ll gain hands-on experience in research, policy, and communications, all while developing your professional skills in a globally respected institution. 🌱
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your background, skills, and interests, your tasks may include:
- 📊 Contributing to research, analysis, and background studies on societal change
- 🧩 Assisting in project management and proposal writing
- 💬 Supporting communications, digital marketing, and event organization
- 🌍 Taking part in client meetings and collaborative workshops
- 🧠 Participating in cross-disciplinary projects that shape public policy and corporate transformation

🎓 Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for students or recent graduates with backgrounds in:
- Architecture and/or Urban Planning 🏙️
- Engineering or Technology ⚙️
- Social Sciences, Political Studies, or Humanities 🌍
- Business, Education, or Environmental Studies 💼
You should be:
- 💬 Fluent in English (C1 level)
- 🌍 Motivated by impact-driven work
- 🧠 Curious, analytical, and creative
- 💪 Ready to collaborate in a multicultural environment
- 🎓 An undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate (second half of 2025 or later)
No Finnish skills required — international candidates are strongly encouraged to apply!
