🌟 About the Project

Are you passionate about youth work, creativity, and cultural exchange?
Join the VESSEL Project in sunny Olhão, in the south of Portugal 🇵🇹 — a place where volunteering becomes a journey of learning, solidarity, and self-discovery.

You’ll be part of MOJU, a dynamic youth organization empowering young people through non-formal education and community work. Over 12 months, you’ll work with children and teenagers, support local educational activities, and design your own creative workshops to bring positive change.

This project is the perfect opportunity to:

🌍 Immerse yourself in Portuguese culture and language
💡 Develop leadership, creativity, and communication skills
🤝 Work directly with youth from diverse social backgrounds
💬 Contribute to social inclusion and community well-being

🎯 Your Main Tasks

🧒 Support daily educational activities for children and young people
🏫 Help with homework assistance and creative learning sessions
🎨 Plan and lead workshops in art, sports, or intercultural topics
💬 Assist in youth center projects and community events
🌍 Design and implement your own mini-project based on your passions
🤗 Promote solidarity, inclusion, and social engagement in the neighborhood

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowance

🏠 Volunteers will live in a shared furnished apartment, close to the MOJU office and city center
🍽️ Receive a monthly food allowance + pocket money (according to ESC standards)
🚆 Travel costs to and from Olhão reimbursed based on distance
💶 All payments made via bank transfer at the start of each month
🌊 Enjoy life by the Atlantic coast in one of Portugal’s most vibrant seaside towns

🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities

👣 Initial observation period and guided integration
🧭 On-arrival and mid-term training organized by the Portuguese National Agency
💬 Portuguese language learning via EU Academy + extra in-person lessons offered by MOJU
