🌟 About the Project

Would you like to make a difference in children’s lives while living in one of Germany’s most creative cities? 🌍
Join this long-term ESC volunteering project in Leipzig, where you’ll be part of a Montessori kindergarten that focuses on holistic, inclusive, and creative child development.

Here, around 80 children aged 2–6 learn and play in an environment inspired by the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori — where independence, curiosity, and diversity are celebrated.

You’ll work with a team of dedicated teachers and social workers to create an inclusive, multicultural atmosphere where every child is encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.

🎯 Your Main Tasks

  • 👶 Support teachers in daily childcare activities and classroom routines
  • 🎨 Organize creative workshops, storytelling sessions, and games
  • 🧩 Encourage children’s independence using Montessori materials and principles
  • 🌍 Promote intercultural learning among children with diverse backgrounds
  • 💬 Support non-German-speaking kids with communication and language games
  • 🌳 Participate in outdoor activities, playtime, and small excursions
  • ❤️ Help create an atmosphere of care, respect, and inclusion

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowance

  • 🏠 Volunteers live in a shared flat with their own single bedroom
  • 🍽️ Receive monthly pocket and food money according to ESC standards
  • 🚆 Public transport ticket in Leipzig provided
  • 💻 All essential amenities included — Wi-Fi, kitchen, shared spaces
  • 🌆 Explore the lively cultural scene of Leipzig during your free time

🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities

  • 🇩🇪 German language course provided
  • 🧭 Participation in On-Arrival and Mid-Term training by the National Agency
  • 💬 Regular project days with other ESC volunteers on topics such as solidarity, participation, and European citizenship
  • 🎯 Ongoing mentorship and personal development support from VILLA gGmbH

This experience is not only about volunteering — it’s a chance to grow, learn, and make lifelong memories in one of Germany’s most vibrant cities! 🌈
