📚 Volunteer in Alternative Education at Ecole Agile, Perpignan, France

✨ About the Project: Ecole Agile offers an alternative and engaging learning environment based on trust, providing a democratic school life for children aged 6 to 19. As a volunteer, you’ll have the freedom to participate in various aspects of school life, including organizing workshops, assisting with individual learning, resolving conflicts, participating in the permaculture garden, and organizing projects and excursions.

🏡 Accommodation, Food, and Transport:

• Accommodation in Perpignan, shared with three other flatmates.
• Located near a bus stop for convenient transportation.
• Food allowance of €7/day.
• Sustainable mobility is encouraged, and an annual transport card is provided for local transport.
• Pocket money of €7/day via secured transfer (bank account).

🎓 Training and Integration:

• Full integration into the Ecole Agile team as a member of the association.
• Participation in school operations and democracy.
• Integration and training week, including an Agile Book and introductory workshop.
• Weekly and monthly meetings, dedicated time for the volunteer’s personal project.
• Language classes, non-violent communication workshops, and mediation training available upon request.

👤 Participant Profile:

• Fluent in English, and preferably some French.
• Open-minded, tolerant, and caring towards others.
• Experience or comfort working with children is essential.
• Shared principles and respect for diversity in religion, gender, culture, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

• 47 weeks during January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
