23 Fully Funded ESC Placements in Germany, Ghana, Serbia, Peru and 11 More Countries, Deadlines to September 2027

Posted 3 October 2026

Youth Works Hub went through all 23 of these European Solidarity Corps listings in full, and each one is a fully funded ESC volunteering opportunity, with application deadlines from 6 October 2026 to 30 September 2027. The batch covers 15 countries: five listings in Germany, three in Ghana, two each in Serbia and Georgia, and one each in Poland, Spain, Malta, Armenia, Senegal, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Argentina, Guatemala and Peru. Twenty are individual volunteering placements and three are ESC volunteering teams: a reforestation team in Orgiva, Spain, from 12 January to 11 March 2027, a three-week Living Laboratory at Gut Herzershof in Brandenburg, Germany, and a 59-day mission in Tanzania from 31 January to 31 March 2027. Five listings close on 11 October and five on 17 October, and the Opole listing in Poland closes even earlier, on 6 October. To compare a short team with a long placement, see how long an ESC project lasts.

A few listings stand out. In Karlsruhe, Germany, six day care centres for children aged 0 to 6 have open ESC positions, some of them bilingual German-French. In St Georgen, Germany, about 30 children aged 6 to 18 at Freie Schule Brigach decide every day what to learn and how. In Opole, Poland, the listing for a bilingual Polish-German Montessori school is an urgent call with preferred arrival dates of 12 to 14 October 2026. In Buenos Aires, the volunteer creates content and manages social media for SJM Argentina's work with migrants and refugees. In Gyumri, Armenia, the volunteer helps organise GLOW leadership camps for girls aged 13 to 15, and in Peru, Mano a Mano is looking for a volunteer to produce an impact report on the parks it has built since 2007. In Tanzania, a team of 15 volunteers helps the village of Tumbilini build a nursery for 50 children and supports the SANA seed bank, and in Orgiva, Spain, volunteers take part in regeneration work through direct seed sowing in the Sierra Lujar.

Read the conditions on each listing before you apply. Five listings, in Argentina, Kenya, Tanzania, Armenia and Peru, state that candidates must be 18 to 35, reside in an EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or TΓΌrkiye and have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training, and our guide to ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteering explains how it works. The Belgrade position is not suitable for candidates with previous ESC, EVS or EU volunteering experience, and the Novi Pazar and Tserovani positions are not suitable if that experience exceeds three months. Language profiles also vary: Buenos Aires asks for Spanish at a minimum B1 level, the Guatemala City profile lists good knowledge of Spanish, the Zugdidi profile lists English at B2 to C1 level and the Karlsruhe circus profile lists good English and basic German, while the Opole listing looks for volunteers aged 18 to 30.

The listing looks for a responsible, disciplined and motivated volunteer aged 18 to 30 who genuinely enjoys working with children and can commit to regularity and punctuality; knowledge of German is a strong advantage but not an absolute requirement, previous experience with children is highly appreciated, and formal teaching qualifications are not required. This is an urgent call with preferred arrival dates of 12 to 14 October 2026: for applicants from outside the EU or Schengen Area, priority goes to candidates who can realistically arrive in time, and those who can enter Poland visa-free are prioritised.
