16 Fully Funded ESC Placements in Poland, Türkiye, Serbia, Portugal and 3 More Countries, Eight With No Application Deadline

Posted 2 October 2026

At Youth Works Hub, we went through these 16 European Solidarity Corps listings one by one, and every one is a fully funded volunteering placement in Europe, in Poland, Türkiye, Serbia, Portugal, Spain, Romania and Greece. Eight of them have no application deadline, two close today, 2 October 2026, four close on 15 December 2026, and two in Portugal stay open until 30 June and 30 September 2027. If you are wondering how long an ESC project lasts, this batch runs from 20 days in Barcelos, Portugal, to 52 weeks in Burgos, Spain.

A few placements stand out. In Sinop, Türkiye, a host caring for around 110 cats and several dogs is looking for veterinary students, young vets and veterinary nurses, who also assist at a municipal stray animal care centre. In Kozani, Greece, six volunteers form an ESC volunteering team that builds a public health festival for World Diabetes Day from scratch, and in Logroño, Spain, a theatre and dance association that uses the performing arts for social inclusion has two places for volunteers. In and around Białystok, Poland, four schools are looking for volunteers from January to June 2027, including a special vocational school for young people with intellectual disabilities and autism. In Ruma and Kragujevac, Serbia, the humanitarian organisation Philanthropy offers two placements in elderly care, humanitarian aid and homelessness support, both as ESC humanitarian aid volunteering. In Faro, Portugal, volunteers work with young people through arts, sports and theatre, in Pułtusk, Poland, a municipal kindergarten brings an intercultural touch to everyday learning, and in Barcelos, Portugal, SOPRO volunteers spend much of their time with elderly people who live alone.

The conditions vary, so read each listing carefully. The Sinop placement is aimed at veterinary students, young veterinarians and veterinary nurses with previous practical experience with animals, and the two Serbian placements ask applicants to be 18 to 35 and to have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training. The Logroño placement requires an accredited sending organisation and no previous long-term EVS or ESC project, and the Drăgășani placement asks you to be registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal. The 20-day Connecting Shores placement in Barcelos is open only to applicants from Portugal, and the autism support placement in Burgos, Spain, is open to 14 countries.

If animals are your field, the Sinop placement offers hands-on clinical experience, while health, events and creativity come together in the Kozani festival team and the Logroño theatre and dance association. Children and schools are at the heart of the four placements around Białystok and the Pułtusk kindergarten, and humanitarian work runs through the two Philanthropy placements in Ruma and Kragujevac. Youth work and community projects fill the placements in Drăgășani, Siirt and Faro, and elderly care is the focus in Barcelos, with autism support in Burgos. Before you apply, it is worth knowing how much pocket money you get on ESC, since the amounts stated in these listings range from a €6 daily food allowance to €500 a month. Check the profile and the eligible countries on each listing, because some placements look for specific backgrounds or are open to only one country.

Two placements, in Logroño and Kozani, close today, 2 October 2026, so if one of them is right for you, there is no time to lose. Eight of these fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements have no application deadline, while the four placements in and around Białystok close on 15 December 2026 and the two Barcelos placements stay open until 30 June and 30 September 2027.
