TTT Tierra Techo Trabajo, a non-profit in Agrigento, is looking for a Social Research and Communications Intern to join its international team for at least four months. About the Internship
You'll join a dynamic team in Agrigento, Sicily, gaining hands-on experience on projects linked to social and political issues. As an intern, you'll contribute to research, communication and initiatives focused on key societal topics such as migration, gentrification and brain drain. You'll collaborate with an international team in a multicultural environment, supporting projects connected to the third sector, while developing your analytical, research and communication skills through meaningful, real-world work.
Key Responsibilities
🔎 Conduct research and analysis on a variety of topics related to the third sector, to feed the organisation's content and database
✍️ Write articles and produce in-depth content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and communication materials (brochures, presentations, social media posts)
🎯 In coordination with the communications team and management, help define and improve the organisation's communication strategy and key messaging
📚 Produce well-researched, fact-checked and properly sourced in-depth content on a range of topics, primarily related to Sicily and its social context
Who We're Looking For
🧠 A curious and engaged person with a strong interest in social and political issues, ideally with a background or studies in sociology, political science, journalism or a related field
🌍 Someone well-informed about current social dynamics and public debates, especially migration, gentrification, brain drain and broader societal challenges
🤝 An interest in the third sector is important, and experience with NGOs, community organisations or volunteering is highly valued
📌 Strong research and analytical skills, the ability to understand complex social issues and communicate them clearly, plus an organised, open-minded and motivated attitude, able to work independently and in a team

Eligibility
✅ You must be eligible for the Erasmus+ programme
✅ You are able to join in Agrigento for at least 4 months
✅ You have at least a B1 level in English
