Description

We are a non profit organization that takes care of wounded, injured, neglected and healthy donkeys on Aruba. We take care of 120+ donkeys with about 30 volunteers. Our goal is to preserve the donkeys on Aruba, they were brought here 500 years by the Spanish and always worked as transport animals. Goods and people. We are open to students to come and learn about these wonderful animals and also to volunteers to come and help out with the daily chores. We feed, clean and assist the veterinarian. We educate the visitors about the donkeys in general and about their history on Aruba. We already have experience working in partnership with Contreras Vets on Aruba to host vocational trainees through Erasmus+ but would like to extend our opportunities to European Solidarity Corps volunteers.

Participant profile

This organisation is willing to involve volunteers who face situations which make their participation in activities more difficult, from the following categories for different types of project:

  • Cultural differences
  • Geographical obstacles
  • Social obstacle
