🔷 Activity Details

Description

The project is divided into 4 stages. In first stage, volunteers learn about multimedia—how to use photo and video equipment, how to edit content, and how to produce high-quality media products. This knowledge is provided by local experts who create professional content at both the national and international levels (e.g., Eurovision videos, MasterChef videos, etc.). In second stage, volunteers collaborate with local organizations, individuals, and our institution to produce high-quality content with the support of these experts. In third stage volunteers will prepare and execute workshops for kids in all primary schools in Medvode for 2 months. The final stage is dedicated to a personal project, in which volunteers create various multimedia content to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have acquired during the project. During the project volunteers will record vlogs to represent their work. TO SEE MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT CHECK THIS LINK: https://linktr.ee/escmedvode

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, meals, and transportation will be fully covered by our organization. We will host four volunteers, each from a different country. The volunteers will stay in a rented house located 5km from our institution. House is fully equipped and each volunteer has its own private room. Each volunteer will receive a monthly allowance of 346 euros (Food and pocket money). Our organization will arrange and cover the cost of transportation tickets required for the volunteers' travel to and off the project. Volunteers will receive companies car for work related travels.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive training in photography, videography, and audio production. They will participate in 20 workshops where they will acquire basic knowledge with the support of experienced professionals. Volunteers will also have access to a fully equipped studio, where they can use professional equipment to create their audio-video content. During the project volunteers will have Slovenian language course together with volunteers from other organizations. As part of the project, we will organize numerous excursions around Medvode and other parts of Slovenia.

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers age between 18 and 29. Our goal is to find volunteers from less fortunate environment. Pre-knowledge of photo, video and audio technology is not essential, but passion and interest is a MUST. Volunteers will have workshops with kids so good knowledge of English is really desirable. Volunteers have to be open minded, enthusiastic to work, have their own ideas and be a group worker. We are looking for volunteers who will be ready to work each day, fully motivated and ready to learn new things.
