The project consists of carrying out tasks in the participation area of EDE Fundazioa (with specific support for tasks in the EUROPE DIRECT OFFICE).

Specifically, the TASKS to be carried out by the volunteers will be:

·      European values and programs. The volunteers will help the Europe Direct Office to engage citizens and to promote European values and programs.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be accommodated in a hostel in a Co-living space for long-term residents, or a flat in a single room. The volunteers will have access to the kitchen, bathroom and common areas. The accommodation is in the city of Bilbao or in the metropolitan area. The place is connected by public transport to the center of the city (underground, train and bus). Financial allowance of €200 per month for living expenses.

The volunteers will have a BARIK card that will be recharged monthly with the corresponding subscription and can be used for any transport within the city.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will have access to the EU ACADEMY online platform (they will be provided with a computer to connect to the platform) to learn the language.

As a complement to the online platform provided by the program, we will try to reinforce language learning with private classes from different resources (Adults School, Language School, Spanish classes for migrants, etc.).

Volunteers will be provided with all the knowledge, training, resources as well as technical tools necessary.

Participant profile
  • preferably over 22 years of age with a certain degree of autonomy
  • some experience of volunteering in their country of origin with other young people or with social groups.
  • outgoing and take initiative because she/he will need to be able to speak to different audiences and in different spaces.
  • basic level of Spanish because the project needs that he/she masters the language to be able to communicate in the different activities
