Do you work with young people who are not in employment, education or training, and want practical tools to support them better? #StandByMe is an Erasmus+ training course in Narbonne, France, bringing together youth workers from five countries to strengthen their skills for NEET inclusion through non-formal learning.
What the Training Is About
This training course is for youth workers who want to strengthen their skills in supporting young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET). In a collaborative and intercultural environment, participants use non-formal learning, creative methods and peer exchange to build practical tools they can bring back to their organisation. During the course, you explore career guidance, digital inclusion, psychosocial support and intercultural dialogue, all through hands-on activities designed for real youth work practice.
Objectives of the Training
๐งญ Strengthen youth workers' competences in supporting NEET and disadvantaged young people.
๐งฐ Provide practical tools in career guidance, skills mapping and school-to-work transitions.
๐ฑ Explore digital inclusion and media literacy approaches for use with young people.
๐ฌ Develop psychosocial support and resilience-building techniques for youth work.
๐ Foster intercultural dialogue and language-sensitive practices across five partner countries.
๐ Co-create a Toolkit on NEET Inclusion that participants can use beyond the project.
๐ค Build a transnational network of youth workers committed to inclusion and diversity.
Our Approach
๐ญ Throughout the week, you learn by doing, taking part in role plays, hands-on labs, world cafรฉs, forum theatre and co-creation sessions, all designed to give you practical tools you can use directly with NEET youth.
๐ช Every day includes reflection time so you can connect what you learn to your own youth work practice, and space to exchange experiences with peers from five different countries.
๐ By the end of the training, you contribute to a co-created Toolkit on NEET Inclusion, a real, usable resource you take back to your organisation.
