🔷 Activity Details

Description

Are you ready for an unforgettable volunteering experience in Greece? Our organization is looking for two motivated young volunteers to participate in a Short-Term European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Volunteering Project with Fix in Art in Epanomi, Greece. Fix in Art is an inclusive community where art is used as a powerful tool for social change, ecological living, and community empowerment. Volunteers will support a wide variety of community-based and creative activities, including inclusive art workshops, skill-share sessions, food rescue initiatives, upcycling spaces, community gardening, and a local oral history project. This project offers a unique opportunity for personal growth, active citizenship, teamwork, intercultural dialogue, and non-formal learning in a highly diverse environment. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation will be provided at the Fix in Art center in shared rooms (ranging from 2 to 8 people depending on the season). Bedding, sheets, and blankets are provided by the hosting organization. Food is managed through a community kitchen or outdoor garden cooking, where volunteers take turns cooking together 3 times a day. Volunteers will also receive pocket money according to European Solidarity Corps regulations. Travel costs will be reimbursed within the approved ESC budget limits. Participants will be covered by Henner insurance during the activity period.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in on-arrival orientation activities, safety briefings, mentoring sessions, and regular community meetings throughout the project. You will engage in non-formal education methods, skill-share workshops, and hands-on training related to upcycling, sustainable living, and inclusive arts.
