โ„น๏ธ Description About The Opportunity

A 3-Day Outdoor Experience for Youth & Educators is a pilot outdoor learning event by Sapounofouska Events & More for adolescents, young people, educators, facilitators, youth workers, and creative practitioners. The event takes place in English and brings together non-formal education, creativity, outdoor participation, and community experience in a shared three-day format.

The programme is designed for people who want to explore practical ways of using play, movement, theatre, STEAM, and group-based activities in educational and youth settings. Rather than offering only discussion-based sessions, the event focuses on active participation, hands-on learning, and collective experience in an outdoor environment.

The activities take place in a natural open-air setting, such as a park or seaside area near Athens. Participants will receive the exact location and practical information 2โ€“3 weeks before the event.

What participants will do

During the three days, participants will take part in:

  • theatre and improv games,
  • music-and-movement activities,
  • team-building and cooperative group challenges,
  • STEAM-inspired creative tasks,
  • sensory and nature-based activities,
  • reflection circles and guided group sharing,
  • mixed-group workshops to design mini educational activities.

A special element of the programme is the influence of Sapounofouskaโ€™s creative event identity. This means that, alongside the educational content, the event may include playful visual elements, movement-based transitions, festive interaction, and bubble show-inspired moments that make the experience more vivid, warm, and memorable.

Learning approach

The methodology of the event is based on:

  • non-formal education,
  • experiential learning,
  • outdoor participation,
  • group dynamics,
  • STEAM education,
  • the 5E instructional model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate.

Each day ends with a practical application workshop. This is an important part of the programme, because participants do not only experience activities as learners, but also reflect on how these methods can be adapted and used in their own educational, youth, or community contexts.

๐Ÿ’ถ Costs

Participation fee

The minus participation fee is set as a symbolic contribution of 120โ‚ฌ.

Accommodation and food

This is a 3-day event series without accommodation included, so participants travelling from outside the local area will need to arrange and cover their own stay. The organising team may share practical suggestions for accommodation options if needed, but booking and accommodation costs remain the participantโ€™s responsibility.

Food is partly included in the event through a daily picnic and catering setup, which is covered by the participation fee. This includes a basic shared catering arrangement and coffee during the day, designed to support comfort, community, and informal connection in the outdoor setting.

The event will take place in an outdoor natural location, such as a park or seaside area, and the exact location will be announced 2โ€“3 weeks before the event together with practical details for access and preparation.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs will not be reimbursed separately, since the event is not funded through a travel reimbursement scheme. Participants are generally responsible for covering their own transport.

However, for those who need support in reaching the venue, organised bus transportation to the event site will be provided and is already included in the participation fee. This applies specifically to the transfer to the outdoor event location once the final venue has been confirmed and shared with participants.
