Description
The aim of ESC with EFM is to challenge youngsters from different backgrounds to develop their active citizenship & promote education, while developing themselves and their skills. The volunteer will be expected to support the work of an international NGO that works mainly the scope of non-formal education. The tasks of the volunteers will be:
- support EFM's daily work;
- writing of articles, and dissemination of projects;
- prepare and plan activities for the local community;
- support the activities of YouthMaSter, a (non-formal education) seminar for polish schools;
- preparing materials for promotion of EFM activities;
- working with database;
- supporting with logistics of different activities;
- support the running of EFM's channels and social media.
- support with the maintenance of the office and EFM headquarters (house, garden +backyard);
- Preparing videos, short movies, and/or podcast about different topics;
- support the NGO in events that may occur in the community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers live in EFM's house, in a small village - Długopole Górne (15 min from Bystrzyca Kłodzka). The house is at 1min distance from a bus stop and 20 min walk to the train station. There are bikes. Accommodation is in shared rooms, and there's shared WC's and a large equipped kitchen. The house has washing machines, dishwasher and internet. Outside there's a garden and small football and basketball court. EFM covers transport costs regarding the project. Plus, volunteers receive food & pocket money evry two weeks
Training during the activity
The volunteer will participate in an orientation training during the first days of the project, organized by EFM's team. The volunteer will also participate in the activity organized by the Polish National Agency of Erasmus+ Programme. Extra training will depend on the volunteer’s ideas and needs. If he/she/they need exceptional support to put an idea into action, within the project, it will be attempted to provide this training. General support is assured by the mentor assigned to the volunteer. ***In EFM volunteers learn by doing with the staff of the organisation.***
