The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.

As part of its mission, GGGI has launched the Hydrogen to Green Growth (H2G) initiative to accelerate the development and deployment of clean hydrogen solutions. H2G aims to play a catalytic role in advancing clean hydrogen as a strategic pathway for climate mitigation and economic transformation. Through this initiative, GGGI fosters international cooperation, mobilises partnerships, and promotes knowledge sharing among countries dedicated to building a clean hydrogen economy.

The Opportunity

GGGI is looking for a talented individual to work in the Hydrogen Team, within the Global Initiatives Unit, to support the H2G initiative. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in areas critical to advancing clean hydrogen globally, including hydrogen-related research and data analysis, insights into policy coordination and project incubation, and practical involvement in organising international forums that convene governments, industry leaders, and experts. The assignment will include, but is not limited to:

Eligibility

๐ŸŽ“ Be enrolled in a Bachelor's (final year), Master's, or PhD program prior to the internship assignment, or be a recent graduate within the last 12 months

๐Ÿ“š Be engaged, or recently engaged, in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute's work

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Possess an excellent command of English

Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ A university degree in a relevant field, preferably energy, environmental science, engineering, climate policy, international development, or a related field

๐Ÿ’ป Excellent command of Microsoft Office and Excel, and design tools for presentations and visual material

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

๐Ÿค The ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment

Terms and Conditions

๐Ÿ’ถ Stipend: GGGI interns receive a monthly stipend of USD $500 (unless funded by a sponsoring institution). All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by the intern or their sponsoring institution.

๐Ÿ›‚ Visa: GGGI will provide a supporting letter for the visa; interns are responsible for obtaining and financing the necessary visas

โœˆ๏ธ Travel: interns arrange and finance their own travel to the internship location

๐Ÿฉบ Medical insurance: interns must present proof of valid medical insurance upon returning the signed contract

๐ŸŽ“ Academic credit: interns may obtain academic credit from their institution, subject to their university's policy
