๐Ÿ”ท Activity Details

Description

Since 1985, Diapason Cooperative has been dedicated to supporting children and teenagers. In this project, you will volunteer in two different structures: for 3 days a week, you will support the minors shelter in Monza. The shelter hosts around 10 young people aged 8 to 18. These minors have been temporarily or permanently removed from their families either by legal decree or due to challenging circumstances and are currently unaccompanied by an adult. For 2 days a week, you will support educational centers in Monza. These are the centers that offer educational programs for youngsters during the day. As a volunteer, you will support daily activities like workshops, sports, games, and socialization; help with logistics and preparation of activities. The ultimate goal of the project is to provide minors with safety and empowerment, while fostering an environment of teamwork.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

As a volunteer, you will LIVE in the shelter in Monza city, fully immersing yourself in its environment.๐Ÿ  For legal responsibility, a strict door CUREFEW at 22:00 is enforced. You'll have your own private room and bathroom. The living room and kitchen will be shared with shelter residents. To ensure your comfort, the hosting organization provides three meals a day. Plus 60โ‚ฌ/month for the food on the days off. Youโ€™ll also receive โ‚ฌ6/day as pocket money (paid monthly). Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to European Commission.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in various trainings related to European Solidarity Corps.
