L'organizzazione d'accoglienza è un istituto comprensivo che opera con una propria metodologia educativa in cui l'apprendimento è fondato sulla fusione tra 3 pilastri: pensare, sentire e agire. Il rispetto dei ritmi di sviluppo individuale e la conservazione d'un ottimo stato emotivo sono considerati elementi di base per il benessere dei bambini. Questi ultimi imparano attraverso le emozioni, e hanno grande libertà di decisione sui propri processi d'apprendimento, anche se questa libertà è associata ad altrettanti processi di responsabilità. Ti sarà chiesto di partecipare a queste attività, molte delle quali (lezioni e momenti di gioco) sono tenute in spazi aperti (clima permettendo). Il tuo ruolo sarà di dare supporto a insegnanti ed educatori, che sia nell'accompagnare i bimbi dell'asilo nelle loro attività, o aiutare quelli della scuola con le lingue straniere, la matematica, le scienze, la cultura o il gioco. Progetterai workshops mirati e ti verrà chiesto di promuovere l'ESC.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Alloggerai in una stanza a Cartagena, in un appartamento che condividerai con altri volontari e dotato di tutto il necessario. Ogni mese riceverai una retribuzione di 186 euro, e un'altra somma di 184 euro per le spese d'alimentazione. Il viaggio d'andata e ritorno dall'Italia alla Spagna sarà rimborsato. In quanto, per ragioni di servizio, dovrai spostarti dalla città al borgo dove opererai, ti verrà riconosciuto l'abbonamento ai mezzi pubblici. L'orario dell'attività è di circa 36 ore a settimana. Un'assicurazione europea ti coprirà in caso di infortunio e malattia.
Training during the activity
In quanto volontario europeo avrai 3 momenti formativi ufficiali: una formazione prepartenza prima di lasciare l'Italia, una formazione all'arrivo in Spagna e una terza formazione a circa metà del periodo di volontariato. A livello d'operatività presso l'istituto, questo progetto costituisce un'esperienza di formazione sulla modalità pedagogica Montessori, grazie alla quale potrai crescere non solo professionalmente, ma anche personalmente e umanamente. Conoscerai meglio anche l'ambiente, in particolare i luoghi situati nella Sierra de Cartagena, adatti all'escursionismo e alle passeggiate.

Sei il candidato perfetto per questo progetto se sei creativo, entuasiasta e se ami stare con i bambini. L'ambiente e la natura sono tue passioni? Las Peñas Blancas è il posto che fa per te. Se unisci partecipazione attiva, motivazione, spirito d'iniziativa e responsabilità sei la persona che stiamo cercando. Devi avere un interesse verso i metodi educativi alternativi, in particolare verso il Montessori, e che insegnano il rispetto della natura e dell'ambiente nel suo complesso ai giovani delle scuole. E' necessario avere una tra queste esperienze: aver lavorato in una scuola (asilo o elementare), organizzato attività in parrocchia, oppure devi aver studiato pedagogia o svolto delle attività con gli Scout. Serve, perciò, un alto livello di maturità, e capacità di lavoro di squadra.
