Are you ready for an unforgettable volunteering experience in Italy? Gürsu Municipality (Türkiye) is looking for 2 motivated young people aged 18-30 to participate in a Short-Term European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Volunteering Project in Poggiardo, Italy, during July–August 2026. Volunteers will support community-based activities, intercultural learning events, environmental initiatives, youth work activities, and local community projects. Participants will work in an international environment, gain valuable skills, improve their English communication, and experience Italian culture. The project offers a unique opportunity for personal growth, active citizenship, teamwork, intercultural dialogue, and non-formal learning. No previous volunteering experience is required. We are looking for open-minded, motivated, and responsible young people willing to contribute actively to the local community and international team activities.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation will be provided by the hosting organisation. Volunteers will receive food support and pocket money according to European Solidarity Corps regulations. Travel costs will be reimbursed within the approved ESC budget limits. Participants will be covered by Henner insurance during the activity period. Local transportation related to project activities will be organised by the hosting organisation when necessary.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will participate in orientation activities, mentoring sessions, intercultural learning workshops, team-building activities, and non-formal education methods throughout the project. Participants will receive continuous support from mentors and project coordinators. Learning outcomes will be reflected through the Youthpass process, helping volunteers identify and document the competences developed during the activity.
Participant profile
We are looking for 2 motivated young people from Türkiye aged between 18 and 30 who are interested in volunteering, intercultural learning, community engagement and personal development. Applicants should have a basic level of English communication, be open-minded, responsible and willing to actively participate in all project activities. Previous volunteering experience is not required. Priority may be given to young people with fewer opportunities, limited international experience or a strong motivation to contribute to local communities and social initiatives. Participants should be able to work in an international team, respect cultural diversity and represent their sending organisation and country responsibly throughout the activity.
