🇩🇪 Erasmus+ Training Course in Germany 🧭 Into the Future 🤝

Open call for youth workers (18+) from Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Spain and Türkiye to join the Erasmus+ Training Course "Into the Future" (5th Edition), from 9 to 15 September 2026 in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (Garlstedt, near Bremen), Germany. The course provides space to explore best practices and improve youth work competences based on the ETS Competence Model for Youth Workers.

About the Project

"Into the Future" brings together 24 youth workers, youth leaders or educators from six countries. Participants explore competence areas such as cooperating successfully in intercultural teams and communicating meaningfully, then work in groups to practically develop and implement valuable educational experiences for others. It also provides space to explore challenges, improve youth work practices and create long-lasting partnerships, all from a simple group house, KulturHaus.

Project Goals & Competences

🎯 Inform and train youth workers in competences from the Competence Model for Youth Workers

🌍 Develop intercultural competence, networking and advocating

🤝 Cooperate successfully in (international) teams and communicate meaningfully

📚 Design educational programmes and facilitate group learning processes

🔄 Provide space for sharing knowledge and good practices, and establish long-term partnerships

Participant Profile

📍 Resident of one of the participating countries

🧑‍🏫 Youth workers, youth leaders, educators or people who will work with youth in the near future

🇬🇧 English skills sufficient to participate actively in all activities

🌱 Previous Erasmus+ experience is not obligatory, but you should have an interest in youth work

💶 A participation fee of €30 per participant, charged by the hosting organisation and deducted from reimbursement

The Venue

A simple group house (KulturHaus) in the village of Garlstedt, close to Bremen, in a very remote area with no cafes, restaurants or supermarkets nearby, helping the group focus on strong group dynamics. Participants share rooms of 3 to 4 people of the same gender but different nationalities (some with private, some with shared bathrooms). Everyone contributes to maintaining the space, and a dedicated team prepares meals (vegetarian, no-pork and similar preferences accommodated, but not halal or fruitarian diets).

Travel & Reimbursement

✈️ Confirm your flights before booking; buy tickets only after confirmation

💶 Travel reimbursed for participants who attend all sessions, commit fully, join the dissemination phase and provide all original tickets, invoices and boarding passes, up to the Erasmus+ maximum per distance band

🌱 Distance-band limits (green / non-green): 10–99 km €56/€28; 100–499 km €285/€211; 500–1999 km €417/€309; 2000–2999 km €535/€395; 3000–3999 km €785/€580; 4000–7999 km €1,188; 8000+ km €1,735

📅 You may arrive max 3 days before and stay max 3 days after; extra days and their costs are not reimbursed

🚌 The nearest city is Bremen; reach the venue (Garlstedt) by bus 660, around €7, cash only

What to Bring

🩴 Inside shoes or slippers (there's an indoor-shoe rule), your own towels (bedsheets are provided) and your EHIC

🧺 Note: the washing machine and dryer cost €3 each to use, and hair dryers are shared

Insurance & Other Info

🪪 EU participants bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC); non-EU participants need travel insurance (NaturKultur can cover up to €15 for non-EU participants)

🚫 The consumption of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited

📄 Significant damages caused during the seminar are deducted from reimbursement; every participant signs the Confirmation of Participation on day 1
