Description

From City to Countryside Living is a 30 day volunteering team ESC project which will take place in Raches, Central Greece. Our goal is to motivate young people to move from the cities to the countryside by giving them practical skills and choices for a sustainable life. We will together learn how to build sustainable structures, grow our own food, make more eco-friendly choices, earn a living and experience countryside by being connected to ourselves and the others through workshops, sports and culture.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

During your ESC project, your accommodation is fully covered by the programme costs. Wheeling2help base is at NISI Glamping, where the volunteers nest is located as well! You will share a room with one more volunteer. Regarding food, you are going to get food allowance to cook yourself or enjoy delicious meals at NISIโ€™s restaurant. Raches is a small sea-side village where the longest distance is less than 3km, so you do not really need transportation. If you like cycling though, you are more than welcome to use our Wheeling2help bicycles!

Training during the activity

Training will be provided by the task related person assigned to the volunteer regarding all the every day tasks. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to get training in other areas of activities from Wheeling2help.
