ℹ️ Description About The Opportunity

[English Version below]

  • Informelle Gruppen junger Menschen

=== ENGLISH VERSION ===

DiscoverEU offers young people the opportunity to travel through Europe for a short period of time, either individually or in a group, to discover new cultures and meet new people, and to gain unique experiences.

Through the DiscoverEU Inclusion initiative, young people aged 18 to 21 who are unable to travel (or can only do so with significant difficulty) due to social, economic, geographical, health, or other barriers also have the chance to discover Europe by train.

In the DiscoverEU Inclusion initiative, the project is implemented by an organization or informal group of young people who support participants with fewer opportunities in planning, organizing, and carrying out such a learning journey and accompany them if necessary. In addition to train tickets, costs for accommodation and meals, as well as accompaniment and personal assistance are also covered. If necessary, additional inclusion costs are covered. This allows even more young people to benefit from DiscoverEU.

This training provides an overview of the opportunities offered by DiscoverEU and aims to support interested organizations in effectively planning and implementing DiscoverEU Inclusion projects to ensure the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities.

The training is aimed at:

  • Youth workers and professionals from youth organisations and local authorities,
  • Representatives of organisations working in youth work and child and youth welfare,
  • Informal groups of young people,
  • with or without experience in Erasmus+ Youth,

who work with young people (aged 18–21) with fewer opportunities and are interested in implementing DiscoverEU Inclusion projects.

The objectives of the training are:

  • to familiarise participants with the DiscoverEU Inclusion action line (objectives, links to Erasmus+ priorities, quality criteria),
  • to outline funding opportunities for DiscoverEU Inclusion projects,
  • to provide step-by-step support in developing project ideas (using common project management methods),
  • to offer tips and tricks for a successful application and to minimise obstacles for applicants
  • to explore key concepts (non-formal learning, participation, sustainability & inclusion)
  • to provide context on European strategies for inclusion and diversity
  • to give an occoasion for exchange, networking and learning about project examples

Practicalities:

  • The training will take place from 26 to 28 August 2026, in Munich (Germany).
  • Participants are invited to plan their arrival until the early afternoon on 26 August. (There is the opportunity for lunch with the group beforehand.)
  • Departures can be scheduled from midday on 28 August. (Again, there is the opportunity to stay for lunch.)
  • Venue: Munich (near central station; the exact venue will be provided in your confirmation of participation.)
  • Attendance is required on all days throughout the duration of the training.
  • The training will be conducted in German. A knowledge of German is required in order to follow the training and benefit from it.
