From the Baltic singing revolution to punk anti-establishment movements, from Pussy Riot to TikTok activism โ music and song have always been tools for political expression. Finding Your Voice is an Erasmus+ training course in Rรฉpรกshuta, Hungary that takes this connection seriously, equipping youth workers, artists, and educators with singing and vocal expression as a genuine methodology for promoting democratic participation, active citizenship, and personal development.
๐ฏ About the Training
Organised by Hangolda Egyesรผlet and now entering its fourth successful edition, Finding Your Voice is a 6-day residential training course that explores two interconnected dimensions: singing as a youth work tool for confidence, teamwork, and self-expression โ and the power of the protest song as a pathway to political voice and civic engagement.
This is a course for people who work with young people and want to bring something genuinely different into their practice. No prior musical experience is required โ the focus is on voice, expression, and methodology, not performance.
