🌟 About the Project
Join Outward Bound Romania Youth Center for an adventure-filled experience in outdoor education and youth work.
🌟 Key Activities:
- Assist in adventure education courses and outdoor training logistics.
- Support equipment management and facility operations.
- Gain practical experience leading outdoor educational programs for diverse groups.
- Learn to independently design, facilitate, and conduct outdoor education activities.
You’ll develop basic outdoor skills, pedagogical competencies, and build solidarity through teamwork and outdoor challenges.
🛋 Accommodation, Food, and Transport
🏠 Accommodation:
- Shared flat with 3 rooms in Sovata, provided by Outward Bound Romania.
🍴 Food and Pocket Money:
- 150 EUR/month for food.
- 4 EUR/day pocket money.
✈️ Travel Costs:
- International and local transport costs covered (with valid invoices and tickets).
📚 Training and Support
- On-arrival and mid-term training organized by the Romanian National Agency.
- Internal courses on:
- Expedition planning and water activities.
- Ropes course and rock climbing.
- Using outdoor experiential learning as a tool for personal and group development.
👥 Participant Profile
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who:
- Are 20–30 years old and residents of an EU country.
- Are college graduates.
- Can commit to living in Sovata for 9 months.
- Have a good level of English.
- Enjoy working with children and young people (experience is a plus).
- Love nature, hiking, and outdoor activities and have physical endurance.
- Adapt easily, embrace challenges, and are open to learning.
