Hosted in Szeged, HungaryGLOW โ€“ Growing Leaders of Wellbeing is an intensive Erasmus+ Training Course designed to strengthen youth workersโ€™ competences in supporting young peopleโ€™s mental health, resilience, emotional literacy, stigma reduction, and wellbeing practices through non-formal learning methods.
The course provides youth workers with practical tools, emotional-support techniques, stigma-awareness strategies, and the ability to design impactful mental-health-related initiatives within their local communities.

๐ŸŒŸ Themes & Learning Focus
This training course develops youth workersโ€™ skills across interconnected mental-health themes, including:

  • Mental health literacy & wellbeing foundations
  • Taboo, stigma reduction & inclusive communication
  • Emotional regulation tools (EFT, stress & anger management)
  • Mental health advocacy & campaigning
  • Designing sustainable awareness campaigns
  • Erasmus+ opportunities for mental-health-related youth work
  • Transnational cooperation & sharing good practices
    The goal is to ensure participants become confident, informed, and mental-health-sensitive youth workers capable of creating safer, more supportive spaces for young people.

๐ŸŽฏ Objectives of the Training Course
O1 โ€“ Improve Mental Health Literacy
Participants understand and apply at least five core mental-health concepts, including CBT basics and positive psychology.

O2 โ€“ Address Stigma & Taboo
Participants design non-formal activities that reduce stigma and promote open conversation.

O3 โ€“ Strengthen Emotional-Support Toolbox
Participants learn and practice practical emotional-support techniques and identify safe usage contexts.

O4 โ€“ Develop Mental Health Campaigns
Participants create sustainable mental health awareness campaigns adaptable to their communities.

O5 โ€“ Foster Transnational Cooperation
Participants exchange good practices and contribute to international collaboration.

O6 โ€“ Use Erasmus+ for Mental Health Youth Work
Participants identify Erasmus+ opportunities and develop at least one project idea supporting youth wellbeing.

  • Expert-based inputs on CBT, positive psychology, emotional tools
    A mental-health-sensitive facilitation approach ensures safe, inclusive conditions for learning.
