✨ Program Overview

The Environmental Peacebuilding Association (EnPAx) invites emerging professionals, students, and early-career practitioners to apply for the 2026 Conference Fellows Program — a transformative opportunity combining capacity development, mentorship, and financial support to attend the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding in Ottawa, Canada. 🌿

This program provides training, networking, and publication opportunities for those committed to advancing peace and sustainability through environmental action. Fellows will learn from world-renowned experts, collaborate on research, and present their work at one of the most prestigious gatherings in the field.

• 🌎 Online learning & workshops from January–July 2026
  – Roundtables, case studies & skills training on writing and policy impact
• 🎓 In-person intensive training in Ottawa, June 2026
  – Focused on community organizing, project management & peacebuilding tools
• 💬 Conference participation
  – Fellows will attend the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding, present work, and join networking events
• 🧩 Mentored publication
  – Write and publish short policy-relevant articles with expert guidance

Online Sessions (January–July 2026)
• January: Launch Event – Overview of Environmental Peacebuilding
• February: Roundtable with a High-Profile Scholar
• March: Case Study Workshop
• April: Internal Dialogue on Key Themes

• July: Publication Preparation & Debrief

In-Person Intensive (June 2026, University of Ottawa)
Hands-on workshops covering:
• Community organizing frameworks
• Conflict analysis & adaptive management
• Nature-based solutions and participatory design
• Inclusive monitoring, evaluation, and everyday peace indicators
• Engagement in cultural & Indigenous learning experiences

Conference Participation (17–19 June 2026)
Fellows will take part in the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding, followed by networking events and a Fellows’ Farewell Dinner.

👤 Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must:

• Be an emerging professional (student, early-career researcher, or practitioner) in environmental peacebuilding or related fields
• Hold a valid passport and be able to travel to Canada in June 2026
• Commit to full-time participation from 12–19 June 2026 (approx. 12 hours/day)
• Be available for follow-up work in July 2026

💰 Financial Support

The program provides partial or full financial support to enable participation in the Ottawa conference and related activities. Visa assistance is offered by EnPAx and the University of Ottawa.
