Do you love chess, teamwork, and meeting people from around the world? Then Discover Chess with ESC is your move! ♟️✨
This short-term ESC project brings together passionate young volunteers to explore how chess can connect minds and cultures. Through workshops, tournaments, and community events, you’ll promote strategic thinking, intercultural dialogue, and inclusion among young people in Siirt — a city known for its hospitality and vibrant local culture.
Experience a month of learning, teamwork, and discovery through one of the world’s most inspiring games!

🎯 Main Activities
♟️ Organize and facilitate chess workshops for children and youth
🎲 Plan intercultural events connecting volunteers and locals
🌍 Support community outreach promoting teamwork and inclusion
📚 Share your cultural background through interactive activities
💡 Help design materials and mini chess challenges for schools
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Support
🏠 Accommodation provided by the hosting organization in shared volunteer housing
🍽️ Food allowance and pocket money provided according to ESC rules
🚍 Local transport covered during activities
🧭 Guidance and mentorship offered by Cedid Derneği staff
💬 Access to intercultural learning sessions and local orientation
🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities
📚 On-arrival orientation about the project and ESC programme
🧠 Non-formal learning workshops about teamwork, cultural exchange, and communication

👥 Participant Profile
We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 who:
✅ Are enthusiastic about chess and teamwork
✅ Enjoy working with young people and in groups
✅ Are open to new cultures and eager to learn
✅ Want to improve their communication and leadership skills
✅ Have a proactive and creative attitude
