This welcoming community space offers young people a safe and creative environment to learn, share, and express themselves.
As a volunteer, you’ll become part of a dynamic team of youth workers supporting daily activities, helping organise workshops, and engaging with local youth through sports, art, and social initiatives. Whether you’re passionate about creativity, inclusion, or simply connecting with others, this project offers the perfect opportunity to make a real difference! 🌈
🎯 Main Tasks & Activities
- 🎮 Support daily youth centre activities (games, workshops, open space)
- ⚽ Help organise sports events like soccer, basketball, and group games
- 🎨 Contribute to creative sessions and intercultural projects
- 💬 Assist with social media communication and content creation
- 📚 Help with homework support and educational activities
- 🍳 Organise small cooking sessions and community gatherings
- 🌍 Develop and run your own mini-projects to engage young people
👥 Participant Profile
We are looking for volunteers who are:
- 💡 Motivated and proactive, ready to engage with youth from diverse backgrounds
- 🌏 Open-minded and communicative, with a genuine interest in inclusion
- 🎭 Creative and excited to bring new ideas to the centre
- 🤝 Team players eager to contribute to a positive atmosphere
- 🧑🏫 Interested in youth work, social projects, or non-formal education

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Support
- 🏠 Accommodation in a student dormitory in Graz (private room in shared flat)
- 🍽️ Monthly food allowance: €330
- 💰 Monthly pocket money: €210
- 🚆 Public transport ticket provided for travel between Graz and Gratkorn
- 🗣️ German language course and full mentorship support
- ✈️ Travel and visa costs covered under the ESC programme
🧭 Training & Learning
You’ll receive:
- 📚 On-Arrival & Mid-Term Training by the Austrian National Agency
- 🧑🏫 Continuous mentorship from experienced youth workers
- 💬 Language learning support
- 🌍 Skills in teamwork, creativity, intercultural learning, and project design
