๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Erasmus+ Training Course in Czechia ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Adventure Education, Personal Resilience & Digital-Free Youth Work ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Eight days. No phone. No fixed address. Just mountains, a river, a firewalk, and a group of youth workers learning what resilience actually feels like โ€” from the inside.

Narana is organising COMPASS โ€” The Core of Outdoor Mindful Practices for Adventurous and Sustainable Selfโ€” an intensive, 8-day digital-free training course taking place in the Jesenรญky Mountains and the Morava River, Czechia, from 5 to 14 June 2026. Designed for 22 youth workers and educators from 11 countries, this is an off-the-grid experience that combines demanding physical challenges with deep guided reflection โ€” all in service of one goal: building the kind of inner resilience that prevents burnout and makes better youth workers.

What Is This Training About?

COMPASS is built on Adventure Education โ€” the idea that trekking up a mountain, navigating a river by canoe, and walking through fire are not just physical experiences. They are mirrors. They show you how you lead, how you hold space for others, how you respond to failure, and how you recover. The training follows a learning by doing approach throughout โ€” every challenge is followed by structured reflection, and every reflection feeds into the next challenge.

This is also a zero-waste, no-alcohol, no-drugs, digital-free experience. Devices are switched off. Participants live in constant motion through the mountains, setting up camp in different natural settings each day.

Training Goals

๐Ÿง  Strengthening personal resilience and inner sustainability โ€” building emotional and physical endurance to prevent professional burnout

๐Ÿ•๏ธ Mastering adventure education and crisis management โ€” acquiring a professional toolkit to use nature as an educational environment

๐ŸŒ Celebrating human diversity and personal uniqueness โ€” joining an international network to share best practices across cultures

Programme โ€” Day by Day

๐Ÿ“… Day 1โ€“2: COMPASS Tuning โ€” Adventure Education principles, comfort zone stretching, shared learning goals, community building, and the Lost Compass Challenge

๐Ÿ“… Day 3: Resilience in Motion โ€” Mountain ascent, emotional backpack exercise, trek debriefing

๐Ÿ“… Day 4: Wisdom & Teamwork โ€” Sensory scavenger hunt, creative nature activities, mind mapping reflection

๐Ÿ“… Day 6: Leadership & Water โ€” Canoeing adventure, river of change, leadership reflection

๐Ÿ“… Day 7: Courage & Transformation โ€” River of judgement, firewalk challenge, courage circle

๐Ÿ“… Day 8: Action & Farewell โ€” Local follow-up design, project evaluation, new community celebration
