🇵🇹 Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Portugal 🌍 Civic Engagement & Environmental Action 🌿

Introduction

“Impact Baby” is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange taking place in Funchal, Madeira, bringing together young people from different countries to explore civic engagement and environmental responsibility. The project focuses on empowering participants to take action, communicate their impact, and inspire others through meaningful initiatives.

Objectives of the Project

The project aims to support young people in becoming active contributors to their communities.

🌿 Building awareness of local and global environmental challenges
🤝 Strengthening collaboration and teamwork
🧠 Improving critical thinking and active involvement

Project Activities

Participants will engage in a mix of learning, action, and outdoor experiences.

🌱 Researching and planning community-based actions
📢 Learning how to communicate project results effectively
🌿 Environmental activities such as removing invasive species
🌊 Participating in coastal clean-up actions
🥾 Exploring nature through hikes and outdoor experiences
🎭 Intercultural exchange and group collaboration

Accommodation and Food

Participants will stay together in a youth center in Funchal.

🏠 Accommodation at Funchal Youth Centre
🍽️ Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks provided
🥗 Meals include vegetarian options with some meat and fish
☕ Coffee breaks organized throughout the project

Travel and Financial Support

All main costs are covered by the Erasmus+ Programme.

✈️ Travel costs covered according to Erasmus+ distance rules
🏠 Accommodation and meals fully covered
📚 Training and activity costs included
🎒 Travel light policy with backpacks only
📌 Travel plans must be approved before booking

Sustainable Approach

The project integrates sustainability into its activities.

Participant Profile

The project is designed for young people ready to engage and contribute actively.

🌱 Aged between 18–25 for participants
🎯 Group leaders aged 18+
🌍 Priority for participants with fewer opportunities
🗣️ Able to communicate in English
🤝 Open-minded and ready for active participation
