The United Nations Resident Coordinator System (RCS) in Beijing, China ๐จ๐ณ is offering a full-time, in-person Administrative Internship for motivated candidates interested in understanding how the UN system operates at country level.
The UN Resident Coordinatorโs Office (RCO) China plays a central role in coordinating all UN agencies in China and strengthening partnerships with the government to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This internship provides hands-on exposure to UN operations, inter-agency coordination, and administrative processes across HR, finance, procurement, and logistics.

๐งญ Main Duties & Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Administrative Assistant, the intern will:
๐๏ธ Office Operations & Administration
โ๏ธ Support daily administrative operations of the RCO
๐ฆ Assist with inventory and asset management
๐
Support logistics for meetings, events, and conferences
๐ผ Assist staff with reimbursement and administrative procedures
๐ฅ Human Resources Support
๐ Support HR documentation and administrative tasks
๐งพ Assist with HR-related operational processes
๐ Finance & Procurement
๐ Support market research and drafting analysis reports
๐ Assist in preparing procurement evaluation reports

Support quality checks and acceptance procedures
This role offers a comprehensive overview of UN operational policies and procedures at the country level.
๐ Eligibility & Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
โ๏ธ Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme (Masterโs degree or higher), or
โ๏ธ Enrolled in or completed the final academic year of a university degree
๐ Field of study must be closely related (e.g. Public Administration, International Relations, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or similar).
๐ซ No professional work experience required
๐ Languages
๐ฃ๏ธ Fluency in English and Chinese is required
โ French is an official UN language but not mandatory
