🧩 Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity is hosted by VIAC – INSTITUT PRE PODPORU A ROZVOJ MLADEZE, a Christian Catholic NGO dedicated to youth support, education, and personal development. The project takes place in Trstená, Slovakia 🇸🇰, within a faith-based community setting that values openness, learning, and service.

Volunteers support teenagers and young people through educational, creative, and community-oriented activities, while contributing to the organisation’s communication and outreach efforts. A positive attitude towards Christianity is appreciated, alongside openness to learning and sharing values respectfully within a youth work context.

🎯 Main Activities & Responsibilities
Volunteers will be involved in a mix of youth work, creativity, and organisational support, including:

  • 👥 Supporting youth activities and programmes for teenagers
  • 🎨 Contributing to creative outputs such as posters, videos, and visual materials
  • 📚 Assisting with educational and training activities
  • 🤝 Participating in community life within a Catholic youth organisation
  • 💬 Supporting communication and outreach initiatives
  • 🌱 Learning through hands-on involvement in non-formal education

Starting dates are flexible and can be discussed directly with the host organisation.

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Financial Support

  • 🏡 Accommodation provided in a shared flat in Trstená or Tvrdošín
  • 🍽️ Food money and pocket money provided according to ESC rules
  • 🥗 Option to have lunch at the organisation or arrange meals independently
  • ✈️ Travel costs reimbursed based on Erasmus+ distance bands

🎓 Training & Support

  • 📘 Onboarding training provided by VIAC – INSTITUT PRE PODPORU A ROZVOJ MLADEZE
  • 🇪🇺 On-arrival and mid-term trainings organised by the National Agency
  • 🤍 Continuous mentoring and support throughout the volunteering period

👤 Participant Profile
This opportunity is suitable for young people who:

  • 👶 Are 18–30 years old
  • ✝️ Have a positive attitude towards Christianity (preferred but not mandatory)
  • 🤝 Are open-minded, motivated, and willing to work with teenagers
  • 🎨 Have skills or interest in design, video creation, or creative communication
  • 🗣️ Have at least a communicative level of English
  • 🌍 Previous volunteering or youth work experience is an asset, not a requirement
