This ESC volunteering opportunity in Montdidier, France ๐ซ๐ท is hosted by Fondation Apprentis dโAuteuil, an organisation operating more than 200 youth centres across the country and supporting over 40,000 young people and families. The mission aims to empower disadvantaged children and parents through educational support, creative workshops, and human-centred social engagement. Volunteers contribute directly to building confidence, developing personal skills and strengthening family dynamics in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

๐ง๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Main Activities
Volunteers support the Family Centre through:
โจ Organising workshops for children and parents (environment, ecology, food, digital skills)
๐ฒ Facilitating games, awareness activities and intercultural exchanges
๐ฑ Promoting learning, leisure and social integration for disadvantaged youth
๐ฅ Supporting families in extracurricular life and training
๐ฌ Helping create a friendly, warm and inclusive community space
๐ Sharing cultural perspectives and participating in team-driven social activities
Tasks are adapted according to volunteer skills, interests and motivation.
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
Montdidier is a quiet rural town of 6,000 inhabitants in the Hauts-de-France region ๐ซ๐ท.
Volunteers are provided with:
๐ A furnished studio OR a room in a family/shared intergenerational house
๐ Transport pass allowance
๐ Optional use of a car during free time (upon agreement)
๐พ Easy access to shops, markets and Amiens (40 minutes by train)

๐ Training & Learning
Volunteers receive:
๐ Two ESC training seminars organised by the French National Agency
๐ป OLS online French language courses
๐ Internal training such as โHow to facilitate activities on citizenship and international solidarityโ
Ongoing guidance and adaptation of tasks based on volunteer goals.
