Young people spend more time online than ever—yet many lack the tools to use digital spaces safely, creatively, and meaningfully.
Online Smart: Create, Engage, Protect is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange designed to transform young people from passive digital consumers into active creators, critical thinkers, and responsible digital citizens.

Venue: KulturHaus – fully equipped for workshops, seminars, cooking sessions, film nights, and group activities.

8 people per country (7 participants + 1 group leader)

Participants with fewer opportunities are strongly encouraged (25 reserved places).


🎯 Project Objectives

This youth exchange empowers young people to:

  • Use smartphones as tools for learning, creativity, and skill-building
  • Practice mobile photography, video editing, research, and collaboration
  • Strengthen digital literacy, online safety awareness & data protection
  • Create educational content, social campaigns & impact-driven media
  • Lead youth-led online initiatives for positive social change
  • Understand Erasmus+ opportunities for future learning and mobility
  • Develop digital well-being strategies and healthy screen habits

👤 Participants Profile

Applicants should:

  • Be 18–30 years old
  • Have basic English communication skills
  • Be interested in online safety, digital media, and content creation
  • Be willing to work in an intercultural team
  • Be motivated to share new skills after the project
  • Participants with fewer opportunities are strongly encouraged

👥 Group Leader Profile

  • Experienced youth workers or NGO leaders
  • Ability to guide participants before & during the project
  • Able to communicate with group leaders internationally
  • Support learning outcomes, engagement & follow-up activities
  • No age limit

🏡 Accommodation

  • 100% covered by Erasmus+
  • Shared rooms (4–6 people)
  • Mixed-nationality rooms for intercultural experience
  • 3 meals/day + 2 coffee breaks provided
  • Participants help with meal preparation & cleaning (part of the program)
  • Alcohol is not allowed at the venue
  • Extended stays (for earlier arrival/later departure) are at participants’ own expense

💶 Travel Reimbursement

  • Travel costs reimbursed according to Erasmus+ Distance Calculator
  • Eco-friendly travel (train, bus, carpool) encouraged
  • Refund only covers travel directly related to the project dates
  • Participants may arrive or depart up to 2 days earlier/later (self-funded stay)
