Based in Amman, Jordan ๐ฏ๐ด, this humanitarian volunteering opportunity allows participants to work on human rights, gender justice, and community empowerment within the framework of Alianzaโs regional programmes in Palestine and Jordan.
๐ก About the Project
The Project Assistant will contribute to key humanitarian and development activities while learning about the project cycle, proposal development, and reporting processes.
Main responsibilities include:
๐ Supporting proposal drafting, monitoring, and reporting
๐ Assisting in administrative and financial justification of project activities
๐ค Collaborating with partners in Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem
๐ Contributing to gender equality and rights-based initiatives
๐ฌ Learning about humanitarian coordination and advocacy in the region
This role provides a strong professional learning experience in development cooperation, project management, and feminist humanitarian work within a multidisciplinary team.
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Allowance
๐ Volunteers live in shared accommodation in Amman with private bedrooms.
๐ถ A monthly allowance of โฌ813.70 covers personal expenses, including food and local transport.
๐ถ A phone card is provided.
๐ก Accommodation and utilities are fully covered.
๐ฉบ Volunteers are protected by Henner health insurance.
๐ถ Freedom of movement is permitted within security directives.

๐ Comprehensive induction on:
- Alianza por la Solidaridad & ESC principles
- Rights and duties of volunteers and organisations
- Insurance, Youthpass, and feminist approaches

๐ค Participant Profile
Weโre looking for a motivated person who:
๐ Is passionate about human rights, gender justice, and humanitarian aid
๐ค Works well in multicultural and complex environments
๐ฌ Speaks fluent English (Arabic or Spanish is a plus)
๐ก Has interest in project management and development cooperation
โจ Is open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn
Experience in humanitarian or NGO work is an asset but not required. This opportunity encourages applicants from all backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities.
